Two ways to coach

Coach where you already play, travel to players, or do both.

At your club or courts

Coach on club courts, public courts or school courts. Your profile shows on that venue's page.

At their place

Coach on home courts, at schools or at retirement villages. Set a travel fee, and people choose "come to me" when they book.

What people book

The lessons parents and adults look for. Coach the ones that suit you.

  • A young player from a distance, hitting a forehand on an outdoor court

    Hot Shots and juniors

First lessons on smaller courts with softer balls, for ages five to ten.

  • A young player with a racket, ready on an outdoor court

    Teen development

Strokes, footwork and match play for teenagers who want to get better.

  • Two women laughing by the net with their rackets

    Adult beginners

Picking up a racket for the first time, or coming back after years away.

  • A coach by a basket of balls, picking one out to feed

    Private technique lessons

One-on-one work on a serve, a backhand or anything else that needs tidying up.

  • Four women with rackets smiling together on a clay court

    Cardio tennis and groups

Group sessions for fitness and fun, with plenty of hitting and no scoring.

  • A player stretching for a smash during a match on an outdoor court

    Squad and match play

Regular training and match practice for players who compete.

Where players find you

On the club's page

653 tennis clubs and courts are listed on CoachPlus, each with its own page. People looking at a club or court see the coaches who use it.

On tennis pages near them

Pages like "Tennis near Remuera" are built for search. When someone looks for lessons in their suburb, that is where they land.

In search

People type what they need, for example "tennis coach for my 8 year old in Remuera", and go straight to coaches who fit.

A day of coaching

What the work looks like, on any court.

  • A coach with a ball cart feeding balls to a player across the net

    Feeding from the basket

  • A coach standing beside a player as she hits a backhand on a hard court

    One-on-one with a client

  • Three adults playing across neighbouring outdoor courts

How it works

  1. 1

    Create your profile

The courts you coach at or the areas you travel to, your times and your price. About 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Go live

We read it over, then your profile shows on the clubs and areas you listed. Usually the same day.

  3. 3

    Take bookings

Players and parents book and pay online. Your share is released 24 hours after each lesson and Stripe pays it into your bank a few business days later.
